I am Kevin Alberts and I am a DevOps System Engineer by day, freelance (web)developer and system administrator by night. I also play the drums, play games and love music. I love to have technology around me and I always try to find its limits. In the time I have left next to my job I like to find new stuff to do with my servers or build new applications to help me out, and I like to try out new technologies.
When I was 12 I was already busy with making a simple website using simple HTML and a little bit of CSS, and since then I'd like to think I got better and better. In the mean time I have expanded my programming knowledge to Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and a little bit of PHP, C#, Go, Haskell and C++. But I still like Python the best.
I manage some servers for myself, where this site (and much more) is hosted, which are running a Debian base OS with a Kubernetes cluster in VMs for all of the applications. I also help manage the servers of my old study association Inter-Actief, and their alumni association ENIAC. Even though I no longer study any more it's still nice to meet the students and to keep up with the new developments in the space.
